X-flow Membrane Elements
The Pentair X-Flow Ultra-, Tight Ultra-, Micro- and Nanofiltration Membrane Elements are used for the (pre)treatment of water. X-Flow Membrane Elements are used in the field of ultrafiltration in capillary form, and microfiltration and ultrafiltration in tubular form, which makes selective filtration possible.
Our extensive portfolio of Membrane Elements guarantees the right specifications for each application. The X-Flow Membrane Elements are available for all water areas, from potable water production to the treatment of process and wastewater and the pre-treatment of seawater, but also for the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries.
X-FLOW XF series ( XF75 , XF64 , XF55 & XF40 )
The Pentair X-Flow XF75 , XF64 , XF55 & XF40 are used for the production of process and potable water from surface water , for wastewater polishing and reuse, in the pre-treatment of large SWRO plants , and in large-scale drinking water production.

FIELDS OF APPLICATION
Potable water production
The X-Flow XF Membrane Elements provide superior separation performance and effective rejection of viruses and chlorine-resistant organisms such as Cryptosporidium and Giardia.
Process water production
The XF Membrane Elements offer an effective barrier to suspended solids and silt. The permeate can be used directly or, if salinity and dissolved solids are not within the required limits, the permeate can be fed to a downstream RO system.
Effluent polishing
The X-Flow XF are reliable solutions to meeting the highest standards for turbidity and microbiology. The polished effluent is ready for high-grade and unrestricted reuse applications.
Pretreatment for Seawater Reverse Osmosis systems
X-Flow’s XF offers an effective barrier to suspended solids and silt. The almost total removal of suspended solids protects the SWRO from fouling.

X-FLOW COMPACT
X-FLOW COMPACT 27
The Compact 27 is a tubular 8 mm ultrafiltration membrane very well suited for the separation of biological sludge, or any other high solids application (up to 40,000mg/l solids) in which high effluent quality is required. Separating at 0,03 micron, this membrane filter allows only water and dissolved matter to pass, rejecting everything that is undissolved. The filtrate can either be used directly in many applications, or be fed into another (RO) treatment system to remove the dissolved matter.

The Compact 32V is a tubular 3 mm ultrafiltration membrane very well suited for the separation of biological sludge or any other high solids application in which high effluent quality is required. Separating at 0,03 micron, this membrane filter allows only water and dissolved matter to pass, rejecting everything that is undissolved. The filtrate can either be used directly in many applications, or be fed into another (RO) treatment system to remove the dissolved matter. The construction of the Compact 32V allows for backflushing from filtration side to feed side, a cleaning process applied in various heavy-duty operations.

X-FLOW COMPACT 55G
The Compact 55G is a 10″ x 4 meter membrane elements and belongs to the X-Flow Compact family. A GRE module widely used in the treatment of various types of wastewater. This size offers high-efficiency opportunities and versatility in treatment concepts and serves as retrofit to boost plant performance. The core of the Compact 55G are the proven X-Flow tubular UF membranes, with a mean pore size of 30 nm.

The Compact 75G is the largest member of the X-Flow Compact family. A 12” glass fibre reinforced module fit for extreme challenges such as Produced Water Treatment. Through its unique design the Compact 75G is limiting construction costs and maximizing its output. The core of the Compact 75G are the proven X-Flow tubular UF membranes, with a mean pore size of 30 nm.

X-FLOW HFS60
X-Flow HFS60 modules are based on hydrophilic hollow-fiber ultrafiltration membranes, composed of a PES/modified PES blend. The membranes, which are operated in a dead-end mode, have high mechanical and chemical strength, making them suitable for a wide range of applications. The pressurized membrane modules with inside-out configuration are the industry’s choice for the removal of colloids such as colloidal silica.

X-FLOW HFW1000
X-Flow’s HFW1000 is a chlorine-tolerant nanofiltration membrane element widely used in the production of process and potable water. This innovative membrane element combines the high chemical resistance of X-Flow membranes with hollow-fiber technology and the superior properties of spiral-wound nanofiltration in the retention of dissolved organic matter. Typical applications are the filtration of surface water and WWTP effluent for the removal of color components, such as humic or fulvic acids, often in combination with the Pentair X-Flow HFNANO Solution.

X-FLOW R30
Pentair X-Flow R30 microfiltration Membrane Elements were developed for the removal of yeast cells, protein complexes and other turbidities from liquids such as beer, wine, cider and milk. These membrane elements, featuring high mechanical strength and high resistance to chemicals, are operated in crossflow mode. R30 Membrane Elements contain hydrophilic hollow fibers with a pore size in the range of 0.2 – 0.8 µm and are composed of polyethersulphone. The fibres are constructed in a stainless steel housing.

The Pentair X-Flow R100 Membrane Element is known for its added value in product quality and taste, production costs, and environmental impact.
